Interior Designer: Chhada Siembieda Remedios The restaurant seats guests during all three meal periods, from early in the morning until after midnight. During the day, the space is awash in bright, natural light. When the sun sets, circular cove lights and the lu- minous onyx floor produce warm orange light gently highlighting the sense of energy and creation emanat- ing from the open kitchen.
The special challenge on this project was to ensure appropriate, simply administered lighting for a wide variety of moods occurring throughout the day with the extensive use of dimming systems. For this space, the color variation of LED cove was tuned to mimic the color and feel of daylight, to highlight the colors of surrounding materials, as well as to warm the space at night. |
