Lucifer Corporate Headquarters - San Antonio, Texas

Originally a picante salsa factory that sat empty for five years, this building is now home to the corporate and manufacturing headquarters of Lucifer Lighting. Moving from food processing and packaging to lighting manufacturing required a substantial makeover.

The corporate areas double as showrooms providing realistic applications of their products as well as gallery space for their extensive modern art collection. The perforated metal vault ceiling with cove lighting emphasizes the linear movement through the space as well as concealing the functional ends of the sprinklers, speakers, and ductwork.

In the conference room, a newly designed seamless glowing plane functions as general lighting with accent lighting from warmer MR16 recessed sources in the center of the room. Mixing the cool temperature of the fluorescent lamps with the warm MR16 sources helps match the shifting hues of the daylight.
